House of the Dragon S2: House of Drag Screening Event
Project Overview
To herald the much-anticipated second season of their globally-celebrated series, House of the Dragon, HBO Max sought to engage New York City’s queer community through an event held in honor of the series’ premiere.
We designed an event from the ground up that prioritized being of, by and for the whole of New York City’s intersectional queer community. The experience gathered influential LGBTQ+ tastemakers, House of the Dragon super fans, and community members for a night inspired by House Targaryen’s brewing rivalry. Throughout the evening, guests were fully immersed in the riveting theme of "House Divided" as they were forced to pledge allegiance to the series’ dueling factions as they visited each installment within the experience. The evening combined a slate of captivating drag performances, the pulsating beats of a dueling DJ showcase, signature cocktails, delectable hors d'oeuvres themed to the series’ dueling #TeamGreen and #TeamBlack narrative, immersive photo moments, premium gifts, and a screening of Season 2 of House of the Dragon to create a truly unforgettable experience for all.
Scope
Responsible for event strategy, campaign development, creative direction, production, influencer, partner and talent management, community outreach and engagement, RQ became the one-stop-shop for the event’s execution.
